The Jellyfish series creates a world of exotic locations to provide an ideal of what consumers should want. Influenced by the commercial world, many of the works are a play on the large advertising screens found in shop windows, the black lines representing the screen serve as a barrier between us and our desires. The photorealist nature of the painting suggests the exotic reality of the image could become attainable.
