FAIRGROUND
The Fairground series highlights the places we escape to and the places we occupy for a momentary period of time, focusing on the shared memory of a place. The people who occupy these transient places belong to a shared time, navigating the space alone but together, then leave without commitment or consequence and move onto another. The use of jelly acts as a signifier for childhood, often escapism, and the construct of television dots hints at a confused intertwined memory of actual events and images recalled from television programmes or advertising.
